The vacancy
We are currently recruiting for a HR Manager to support our people managers and employees at our Manston Short-Term Holding Facility in Kent. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role will be based at our Manston Short-Term Holding Facility site in Kent.
MTCs mission is to provide a safe, secure, caring and compassionate welfare and security service to detained people at Manston. Our service users are new arrivals who have crossed the channel hoping to claim asylum in the UK, and we support them whilst their asylum process gets underway.
The role
We are looking for a HR Manger who is passionate about fostering a culture of growth and development through coaching and relationship building. In this role you will lead initiatives to support our employee’s professional development, enhance team dynamics and cultivate a positive work environment. You will work closely with our managers and employees at all levels to provide guidance and support.
Experience and Skills Required
Some of the key responsibilities for the role are:
Providing proactive, professional and customer centric support to the business.
Acting as a commercially aware, focused, business minded HR professional.
CIPD level 5 or equivalent.
Proven experience in supporting and advising operational managers with HR practices, processes and cases, including employee relations and absence management.
Applying progressive HR solutions that meet the business needs through transactional initiatives.
Helping to drive healthy business culture in line with the MTC business values and strategy.
Providing reports and analysis of these to senior managers as required.
Supporting the HR Business Partner with contract specific projects and initiatives as required, including areas such as policy, reward and wellbeing.
Keep up to date with employment law changes and implement in conjunction with the business as necessary.
Ensure the team and self are compliant with data protection and ensuring this through the administration of employee data.
Develop and maintain key relationships with key stakeholders.
The role will require to be vetted to an appropriate level, including a DBS and Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC). Security clearance to work on site will be approved by the Home Office, once all checks are complete.

Cascade

Document Signing
We use DocuSign for digitally signed documents. You may be required to sign a contract, offer and/or other documents if you are successful. You will not have to create an account with them and we only pass on the minimum amount of data required to allow them to carry out their operations.
